*Panel on the human rights of unaccompanied migrant children and adolescents. *Special Rapporteur on the human rights of migrants will present his report on migration, to be followed by an interactive dialogue. *Special Rapporteur on contemporary forms of racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance will present his report on the main thematic issues covered by the mandate, as well as an overview of racism, racial discrimination and xenophobia in the context of counter-terrorism. To this end, the SR's mandate will organise an EGM in June 2017 to collect inputs on racism, racial discrimination and xenophobia in the context of counter-terrorism measures.
The question of the impact of climate change on human mobility has attracted considerable attention over the past years. It has been integrated in the preamble of the Paris Agreement (COP21) and will be discussed at the United Nations in May 2017 as part of the preliminary consultations for the elaboration of the Global compact.
Theme: Addressing drivers of migration, including adverse effects of climate change, natural disasters and human-made crises, through protection and assistance, sustainable development, poverty eradication, conflict prevention and resolution.
The second FfD Forum will be convened by the President of ECOSOC from 22 to 25 May 2017 at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.Building on the inaugural FfD Forum, which devoted particular attention to setting up the monitoring framework for the follow-up to the Addis Ababa Action Agenda (Addis Agenda), the 2017 Forum is expected to provide impetus for the implementation of FfD outcomes and the delivery of means of implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
The World Health Assembly is the decision-making body of WHO. It is attended by delegations from all WHO Member States and focuses on a specific health agenda prepared by the Executive Board. The main functions of the World Health Assembly are to determine the policies of the Organization, appoint the Director-General, supervise financial policies, and review and approve the proposed programme budget. The Health Assembly is held annually in Geneva, Switzerland.
